Are you going through any stress or anger attacks?
Have you taken Accutaine for acne?
I know Accutaine can cause hairloss.

The best natural products for hair growth are.

For shampoos, I like the Thicker Fuller Hair.
They sell it in CVS.
This Shampoo really improves the hair shaft and will make your hair thicker.
It has alot of good ingredients.
Rosemary, Chamomile, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Hydrolyzed Wheat Starch, Ginko Biloba Extract, Retinol, Panthenol, Biotin, Aloe, Jojoba

Anther great shampoo is called Abba Creme moist.
Do a search of it or look on E bay.
Its got the best ingredients and feels really good on your hair.
It has this really nice cherry almond smell.
Its ingredients are Cherry Bark, Almond, Wheat Protein, Wheat Starch, Soy, Aloe, Chamomilla, Flower extract, Cucumber, Amino acids.

For Vitamins I like the NSI Glucosamine Sulfate, Chondroitin sulfate and MSM
Vitacost sells this.
Glucosamine, Chondroitin and MSM are good for hair growth.

Biotin also is very good vitamin for growing hair.
You need to take 5000 MCG, which is 5MG

Calcium Citrate is also very good. .
Calcium Citrate absorbs better in the body then Calcium Carbonate
But you usually have to take 2 Calcium Citrate vitamins to = the Carbonate vitamin.
Usually Calcium Citrate vitamins are 250 MG per Calcium.
Where the Carbonate is 500 to 600MG per calcium.

Also 1000 MG FlaxSeed is good.
I get the Spectrum FlaxSeed, which is 1000MG per Gel.

I'v also read good stuff about using collagen type 11 for hair growth.
I like the Twin Lab Collagen.
Its 60 capsules and 500 MG per capsule
It also has Chondroitin Sulfate and Hyaluronic Acid.

It sounds like a complete blood profile work up would be helpful to see if you have any thyroid problems or anything else that might cause hair loss. Some meds will also do that. I had a gazilion tests to find out what was causing my thining hair and finally found a menu to help. A good dermatologist might help you working along with your Internist.

Use Salon Hair Products. I Just Read A Post From Someone Saying They Were Using Panteen And There Hair Was Getting Very Thin. My Hair Stylist Told Me That Is The Worst Shampoo You Can Use. All The Cheap Products Have Dish Detergent In Them. I Started To Use It&ly Shampoo N Conditioner From Salon. Works Great!!!!

Hi sophiekaris,

I totally understand what you are feeling now. I'm just 27 years old and have been struggling with hair loss since I am 24 like you now.

Firstly, you should have a look at your family history to see whether you have a strong history family of baldness or not. If no, it is a good news to you since among various types of hairloss, androgenetic alopecia seems to be the most difficult question.

Secondly, try to get out of your bad mood asap since stress is one among top reasons for hair loss. I really hope that you are not experiencing something like Telogen Effluvium, which will create very terrible shedding with visible holes on your scalp.

Thirdly, you should go to a dermatologist to check whether you have fungus or not. If yes, just do with your fungus and your hair loss will be stopped without too much difficulties.

Fourthly, you should do some thyroid tests and blood tests. Hypothyroidism and/ or hyperthyroidism as well as low iron are also reasons of hair loss.

Fifthly, you should equip yourselves with some vitamins like Barry876 recommended. If you live in Australia, you may try some products with Emu Oil as the main ingredient. Emu Oil has recently emerged as one among top natural products for hair loss treatment.

These are my working experiences with my hair loss. Unluckily, it seems that I'm a victim of androgenetic alopecia. For that reason, all these efforts seem not to work well with me.

Good luck and hope to see you again.

I would definatly ask the doctor to check you for polycystic ovarian syndrome and/or thyroid problems. Missed periods and thinning hair is a sign of pcos.

I was diagnosed w/Telogen Effluvium after shedding incredible amounts of hair since November last year. I was told that if there's a bulb at the end of your hair that falls out, it's telogen, which is good b/c it indicates it's temporary. Usually caused by a stressful event (could be illness, medicines, or emotional stress).ONce the stressor is gone, hair shedding should cease.

Go to a dermapathologist, they will not only do a hair count and a pull test, but a full battery of tests like thyroid, Hormones, Iron levels, DHEA and testosterone levels, etc.

FYI: Mine started in the fall of 06 and still hasn't stopped, but just try to stay calm about it...(easier said than done...I'm a good example of how not to act!)
