My mom has osteoporosis and after 28 days of radiation treatments which shattered her sacrum and will never walk again. Now my mom wants to stop anymore treatments of any kind, she is so mad about being confined to a wheelchair the rest of her days. :blob_fire

She hasn't actually had her rectal surgery yet; she was going to have it in three- to four weeks from now. She had the chemo and radiation to shrink her tumor pre-operatively.

Have you guys ever been told how long you could expect to live if you did NOT have any treatments (and you didn't get diagnosed until you were an early stage IV?).

THANKS!!

It will be different with everyone. A lot of it has to do with the mind set of the person. I can't even get myself to ask the doctors about any "time lines" for my dad, I just don't see the doctors being able to say one way or another.

Take care,
