Hi everyone. Just a quick question. When is the appropriate time to file a workmans comp. claim?? I have had pain in my hands/arms for the past few months. Wake up many times in the night with pain. Went to doctor last week. He has ordered nerve cond. test and suspects carpal tunnel.

I have said nothing at work at our medical office or anything. What are the right steps to follow?

Thanks so much,
L.

You Must File Immediatley, first Go To Yourdr.to Establishthatthe Injury Iswork Related, bringdr Note To Human Resourse Person Andtell Them You Want To File For Comp And Have The Co. Pay For Your Medical.the Compins Willcontact You With A Case # And You Give That To All Drs That Examine You.
If You Need To Stay Home Because Of This Condition Have Dr Write A Note And You Mail It To The Ins And To Your Place Of Work.and By Allmeans Find A Lawyer, youmade Need Inthe Future.
Ihope This Helps As Im Still Home On Comp And Might Not Be Able Togo Back To Work Because Of My Injury.
Good Luck

Hurten-
Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. Your information was so helpful. I will get right on it. Thank you. I had the nerve conduction test today and it hurt. I have to wait a few days to see what the doctor thinks.

Take care and I hope you get better.

What I Didnt Know Andmaybe Its Different For You, But Mycompany Will Notpay For My Health Ins.which I Thought Was Mandatory When You Are Home On Comp.
Dont Get Me Wrong I Still Getcomp Benefits For My Injury Thats Different Than Health Ins For My Regular Dr Visits And Meds.
Can Someone Please Get Back To Me If This Is Right?
Because The Costs To Pay Out Of Pocket Is A Lot When Your Money Is Cut In Half.
Thanks,hurten

Hi A Note To Any Of U On W/c Ifyou Have A Hearing To Go To Tell Your Drs That You Need Updated Reports For Your Hearing To Take With You And Make Sure Your Atty Has Copies. I Learned This The Hard Way I Wasnt Prepared Because My Atty Didnt What I Need , And So Now I Have To Go To The Drs For Reports And Reschedule My Hearing And Because Of This My Benefits Were Lowered Because I Had Noproof Of Mycondition.
