I am wondering if anyone has this and can connect it to either RA or AS. I was told I have AS and will be going to the Rheumotologist this Thursday and in the meantime I am putting together a list of things that I have noticed that have happened in the past year or so. One thing I have noticed is my body temp at night has increased, to the point that sweat rolling down by chest wakes me up! I have turned the heat down in the house (poor family is prob freezing) to 64 at night and we live in Colorado so it is pretty chilly at that temp and I still wake up with my shirt damp from sweat.

Please tell me if you have experienced this in connection to either RA or AS. Thank you!!!

what criteria was to dx with AS? did u have blood tests or xray?
how u do u know which one is RA or AS?
i have HBLA27 neg all test all neg but i have back pain , ankle and hips and stiff neck and ribs pain . what r your symptoms?

Hi. I had a blood test. I don't remember the exact name of the test it was but the podiatrist that got the results definetly said it was AS-my only thought is that I dont have back pain so I don't know if that is really what it is or if it is RA. The reason I had the test done was b/c a toe on each of my feet were swollen and itchy. Both the podiatrist I saw and the dermatologist said it was probably RA - that is why I had the tests. I am going to ask for X-ray's too and see if anything shows up. I have other little symptoms that may or may not be connected like tingling in my siatic nerve area that makes my whole hip and backbone area tingle, swelling aobut 2 times a year in my ankle in ONE exact spot, index finger is sore and limited in strength--things like that.
