Do you think I have to wait until then? ke2 02-27-2007, 12:37 PM Hello - I know how you feel. My follow-up is not until next Wed - which will be over 2 weeks since I had the graft done. I am getting pretty tired of eggs and alphagetti! However, my perio told me the same thing - soft foods only until our follow-up so I am trying to stick with it. tigger67 02-28-2007, 07:59 AM I called my doctor the other day, and the assistant told me I only had to eat soft food the first 24 hours. When I asked if I could eat crunchy food and bite down, she said yes. I'm not sure if I believe her or not though based on all the research I've done online. I am eating harder foods though, just not biting with my front teeth, since the surgery was on the lower bottom teeth. I'm just chewing with my back teeth. I hate that I have to wait two more weeks to find out if the surgery even worked though. They didn't put putty over it, and I just have a funny feeling the graft has shifted. Every time you open your mouth, talk or laugh, it's going to aggrevate it since it's right in front. Oh well, nothing I can do I suppose. |
