heya peeps, I’ve been suffering for as long as i can remember from a runny nose which is now on the point of driving me crazy!
Sometimes its a coloured mucus other times its clear. im not on any medication what so ever, i dont suffer from hayfever and have no allergies
i have been to my GP and he prescribed me loratidine (or some other similar second gen antihistamine -cant remember as it was soo long ago)
I was just wondering if there were other people out there with similar conditions or if someone knew how to get rid of this phenomenon lol

It sounds like an allergy. Have you seen an allergist?

Sorry.........
Wish I can help but......I've never had a constant cold for that long.
But, This is What helps me:
--hot tea with lemons and honey helps my nose
--rubbing vicks on my chest to help me breathe and sleep at night
--start taking homeopathic remedy
--take olive leaf extract every day will help boost your immune system
--take a dose of oscillo(one of the homeopathic medicine) to treat of prevent a cold/flu
--Don't drink anything that is too cold.
Hope you feel better

Sounds like maybe food sensitivities. My daughter was like this for 12 years & had constant ear infections before a dr. decided to do a blood allergy test.
Nothing ever made her violently ill or whatnot, with sensitivities you get the constant stuffy/runny nose, upset stomach(possibly) but it starts days after you eat the thing you are allergic to.
Since my daughter was/is allergic to some very common ingredients it was a constant thing. You may try an elimination diet just to see if anything effects how you feel.

I agree it sounds like allergies or a food sensitivity. Growing up I was constantly congested!! I have bad allergies and always thought that was the main culprit. Turns out it was the milk I was drinking every day! Ever since I stopped drinking milk, I only have problems when sick or when my allergies are acting up.

milk sounds plausible, but what other food stuffs and addatives are there that could also trigger this kind of allergy?
