View Full Version : I don't know if this is mental or physical -- part dinosaur? And I'm not kidding!

Hi everyone! I've been having this problem that's become more and more pronounced over the past year or so: I feel like I might be part dinosaur! And I'm totally serious! Not only do I bear a striking resemblance to a T-Rex, but whenever I see a man that catches my eye, I have to fight the urge to make mating calls. I also feel like I have a phantom tail. You know when people who lose their legs or arms in an accident can still feel the arm of leg? Well, I can still feel my tail, but I wasn't even born with one! I don't know if this is kind of a mental condition, or if I could truly be part dino. I also have oddly stunted arms (they're scrawny), and thick thighs. I know that that's what T-Rexes have, so maybe it's more of a biological condition instead of a mental one? What do you think? What type of mental condition could this fall under?

I swear that I am 100% serious; please do not joke about this! Thank you very very much for your time!

sounds to me like you could be psychotic....i had a psychotic episode a few years back and i thought that i was able to fly if i quit saying negative things. and i was going to teach the world to fly after i proved i could.
your mind has got to be telling you that this is totally unreal.... and that part of your mind is the healthy part...i agree with the other posters, you need to see a doctor right away...there are meds out there to help your mind think the healthy and real things..... best of wishes............peace

Do a search for body dysmorphic disorder. See if this rings a bell. Go for help soon. Good luck.

i know people have problems like this but its just seems so unreal to hear someone telling their story. i have no expert advice to give but to go to your doctor asap before it gets worse and you will start to believe you are having normal feelings and you wont go. you need help and when you get help you will be relieved let me know how eveything turns out x

A lot of people have flights of fancy and seem to connect with one or certain animals in particular. Like they believe they were this animal in a past life or something. Young people especially like to explore and indulge in this sort of thing--you didn't say your age.

But if you took the time to post about this here on this site you are obviously worried and concerned about your thoughts. You need to share them with a doctor who can decide what is going on in your mind and how he can help you.
