For the last week I've been riding my bike 10.4 miles a day. I been clocking myself at 10-12 mph. I have a heart monitor receiver and my heart rate been at 95-110. Does this sound too low ? Too high ? Should I be going faster to raise my heart rate ? I'm mainly trying to loose weight and gain more endurance. Thanks In Advance for any help.

Maybe I should add that it takes me 55 minutes to an hour and 5 minutes to do 10.4 miles.

What's your age? If your heart rate indicator is accurate, no matter your age, it seems kind of low to me. Try one (or several, for an average) of the many online Target Heart Rate calculators to give you a better idea of where you should be (cardio-wise).

Thanks for the reply. I'll be 32 later this month. I used the Heart Rate Calculator at webmd.com and according to it my heart rate should be 94-141 beats per minute, and not to exceed 188 beats per minute. So I guess I need to rasie my heart rate a little more then 95-110. Maybe like 120-125 to be safe. Maybe I'll go up a little more once I see if I can handle 120-125 bpm. Thanks Again !
