I'm 15 in 9th grade, and im 5'8ft. My dad is 6ft and my mom is 5'3ft, would I make it over 6ft? Also I just started lifting weights, can lifting weight stunt your growth?

Hi drew...I don't know the answer to the weight lifting question, but as for your height...I have always heard and even heard this from a doctor. Each generation is taller that the generation before. And I have noticed this to be true. My father is 6'2". My brother is 6'4". Mother is 5'6". My brother-in-law is 6'4" and his son is 6'5". My husband is 6'2" and I am assuming my boys will be over 6'2". Do you take after your father or mother in looks and manerisms?

lol, im not sure about that. in a couple years we would have giants walking around. my dad is 6'4", im only 5'11", and aint gettin any taller. i think you have to look at more than just your parents, i.e., grandparents etc.

It's all in the mix. I was rather depressed for a long time because I look almost exactly like my dad. Our mannerisms are the same and everything. When I was in Junior High I wore size 12 shoes.
My Dad is 6'51/2" tall and everyone on his side of the family except for his dad is very tall (over 6'6"
my mom was average height but many on her side were tall also. Every one had me believing that I would be taller than them... Didn't happen I am the tallest of my brothers at 6'2 1/2" and my other nrothers are 6',6' and 5'11" . and the shortest one has the biggest feet! Oh well, Just wait and see how it all plays out. Stay active, get your rest and "drink lots of milk" :D
