View Full Version : Is this nerve damage? Just had wisdom teeth out - tingling/numb

I had my wisdom teeth out exactly a week ago.

Ever since the left corner of my bottom lip has been numb.

Also, I can only open two finger widths. Any further and a shooting pain goes from the left side by where my wisdom tooth was over to the right side of my face. Sometimes it stops at my lip. But its a really strong, painful tingle and it fades after a few seconds.

I'm really worried that its nerve damage. Anyone have ideas???

Also, I'm afraid I may never regain the ability to open any further. I'm still in quite a bit of pain for it being a week, and starting to worry. The dentist seemed a little baffled and said it should get better... That didn't help me much.

Help!!
