Most weight gainers are a combination of high carb and protein. They are intended for use by hard gainers that cannot get enough calories to build muscle through regular diet. If you do not have a fast metabolism, it can trun to fat rather easily since you body just stores anything it can't use.

Naxis is right w/ the carbs and proteins. I gained about 30+ pounds.... (I needed it) After being very sick. Took "weight-gainer" and ate and worked out for at least 1 hour a day.

As I said I gained 30+ pounds - at least - (proportional) Since I worked out most all turned into muscle. WHen I stopped taking the shakes i weighed 120. now I am at a constant 110. '

Please Note: I am 5'10" so I should be about 120/130lbs.
