Is there a difference between these? I've had BV on and off and I want to try these and rePhresh.

They are basically the same thing. The species name is "acidophilus" and the genus name is "Lactobacillus". In scientific terms, the organism is named: "Lactobacillus acidophilus".

Thanks a bunch. The reason I'm asking is the Lacto seems to be a lot more expensive than the acido from what I've seen.

Sometimes they lump several Lactobacillus species into one probiotic supplement which may factor into the cost. Lactobacillus acidophilus is the main one but sometimes Lactobacillus supplements will also include Lactobacillus bifidium, Lactobacillus bulgaricus, and Lactobacillus casei. Usually, the best probiotics to buy are the bottles that suggest refrigeration after opening and the ones that contain something to help feed the bacteria during their transition--such as lactose or saccharides.

A really excellent probiotic is Natrens Healthy Trinity, which comes in a 3-in-1 supplement. I've heard great things about it from many people who swear it has kept them very healthy since they did not get sick since taking it.
