My primary care referred me to a spine surgeon here at the hospital I work at. Well I emailed his secretary just to say please try to work me in early and she called me saying that the surgeon reviewed my chart and there is nothing he can offer me surgically. Umm how does he know without even talking to me?? What do I do?? He's the only spine surgeon at my hospital!!

Do you have a copy of your MRI? Is this work related or something and maybe he can't get involved?

Maybe he is just being honest with you instead of waisting your time and his on a office visit. He can tell more from your charts than from talking to you.

I say take your toys (MRIs) and head to the next spine surgeon. I had to drive some distance to find mine, but it's worth it. Let us know how you are doing. Dont give up!!!
