I have a problem that has been ongoing for some time but I'm not one to run to the doctor ESPECIALLY when our insurance isn't very good.

I've always had minor back problems since I was young, certainly nothing really bad or incapacitating. From time to time as I got older I would have pain in my right hip area. Went to the chiropractor but they really did no good. I'm 58 years old and about two years ago started having more of the hip pain except it radiated more to the back about halfway between my spine and right side of my hip and slightly below my waist.

I noticed about a year ago that a lot of time ESPECIALLY at nights I would go to sit on my bed to lie down and felt as if my spine was "clicking" in areas. Almost seemed that you could hear it. It didn't hurt though, just felt that it shouldn't be doing that.

Working in my yard last week I stood up and felt an area in my back rib area right between my bra line and waist.......same side as the hip. It was really painful that night but was much better by the next day. I still can feel it but it certainly isn't what I would call bad, just aggravating.

I just feel like I've been run over by a truck. I can bend over okay but my hip catches as I go to stand. The more I think about it the more worried I get and the more I notice it. Of course my mind starts playing tricks on me thinking that I have bone cancer or something. I'm not a hypochondriac but this really has me baffled. Please tell me that someone else has had the problem in their back hip area. NO one I've ever talked with has ever heard of it. You'll make me feel so much better.

Thank you for listening and for anyone out there that can respond.

Cody I know how you feel about the bill's and all but you should have that checked out by a Dr. Why wait till something turns serious when it could of been fixed earlier ? Sorry I couldn't answer your question. I do have pain in my hip / back but I had a fusion done so thats why I hurt.

Please take my advise :)

Have someone who knows about sacroiliac dysfunction check you out. I have sacroiliac joint pain, and when it first started, I had more pain in my groin and hip than my back. If you do an internet search you can learn more about it. Just a thought, and good luck!

Just a short note, don't loose your health insurance. Something is better than nothing. And if you go without and have had any treatment they call it pre-existing and won't cover it.
