I have not seen my neurologist in close to 3 years..I keep putting if off and then something else comes up that I have to take care of and somehow we got to now 3 years and I am supposed to go every 6 months...this is not a question, but just looking for support because now I am scared to go back..don't know why, he's a nice guy..just don't know what to expect or how to explain to him..just had a lot of stress, busyness and other people to take care of.
I also am dreading the MRI..I used to have them yearly and was kind of used to them, now I will have to start that all over.

Hi,
Don't worry about not seeing your neurologist.Obviously your MS didn't get too much worst. Most of neurologists can't do too much about making it better anyway.I didn't go for like 5 years...Just good luck, go check yourself, maybe do MRI (some doctors don't consider it usefull at all).

I've avoided appointments as well. I'm busy with work and school. I've only been dx'd with "probable MS" and I think he was just waiting for yet another exacerbation. I'm in my 3rd one since I saw him and this one is the worse one ever. Hope all goes well with you....

I agree with the above. I have had two MRIs in seven years, and I have been very content with that. Remember that you pay the neurologist, he is working for you. Not the other way around. If you have not been in three years, that's great. You certainly did not feel too anxious or upset about your MS, so you must be doing great.

Mri Just shows new leasons and where they are. I just took my first in 3 years haven't seen the results yet.I suspect it will just be another game of connect the dots.same stuff diffrent film. As I understand it helps for showing if your treatment is slowing the progression.Don't be affraid they are simple and not invasive in this case fear is your worst enemy. But I am in the low percent of people that the MRI machene Doesn't bother.I'll go to sleep untill it is time for the contrast and get annyed they woke me up.GOOOD LUCK
