My doctor has prescribed me Limbrel based on my request. I took it to the Pharmacy at the University Hospital and the pharmacist said that they don't have it in stock and I'm the first patient with a prescription for this. Did anyone having trouble getting this medication from your pharmacy? Did your insurance pay for it?

Am I the only one around here taking this medication? (Didn't start yet)

My rheumy gave me a script for Limbrel a few months ago. It took a few days for the pharmacist to get it in & it was expensive- I believe about $60 something dollars.
I took it for a month & felt no different-- I have OA & Lupus. I couldnt' see throwing that kind of money away so I haven't refilled my prescription.
I may try it again though because the pain is really getting to me lately.

I tried Limbrel, but my rheumy gave me boxes of samples. I took for a few weeks but it didn't seem to be doing anything, so he never gave me a script for it. I have read, though, that it may not be that widely available and is expensive...

Thank you for the replies. I"m sorry to hear that it didn't work. I'm going to give it a try and I'll be starting about two weeks from now. I'll post what occurs for me. I'm sure in need for something for pain that doesn't space you out.
