I was reading an article about side of foot and ankle is caused by the S1 nerve . I have problems with pain in my ankle side of foot could thid be the cause and how could it be that when I was fused @ L4-L5 ? Just curious about this..I thought it was my L5 causing the pain..Hmmmm???

Hi Shawley,
Can you tell me where you found this article?
I also have pain on the side of my foot/ankle... drives me nuts. All the images of leg nerves would indicate the peroneal nerve... a branch of the sciatic nerve?

Thanks!

Spine university I think ? I googles back pain and nerves , did alot of reading about the nerves. I don't understand how my S1 has anything to do with my surgery . Another question I'll ask my doctor . I'm sure there is a reason cause were not alone.

GoodLuck
