Hello everyone,
I had previously posted a question in regards to this problem that I am having.
It is now getting worse and am hoping someone out there can help or give adivice.
I have had several health problems over the last 10 years, I am 32 yrs old.
I have been seeing 2 different Dr's but both seem stumped.
At first I was told possible MS, then I was dx with fibromyalgia(then was undiagnosed), then anxiety, next came peripheral neuropathy and finally again probable MS.
Its has been one hell of a merry go round the last 3 yrs with symptoms getting worse but still in limbo.
I have had 2 MRI's in 2004. One each of head and spine, both were done without contrast and both came out clear.
The symptoms that I am posting in regards to is of the face.
At first I got a sensation like I was wearing a mask of some sort or like there was something "stuck" on my face like a feather, a piece of fabric or something.
It also felt stiff and strange, almost numb but not tingly at all.
It began in the left upper cheek then progressed to the right.
Well after a few months it has spread to the lower part of my cheeks as well so now my whole cheeks feel this way.
The best way I can describe this sensation now is "Droopy". No tingling or pain. Just a kind of numb stiff feeling.
Sometimes I get self conscious, like someone would notice that my face was not "normal".
I do have a follow up appt with my Dr tomorrow and will for sure mention that this has gotten worse.
What I wanted to know from all of you is if any of you have experienced this before, if you have any idea what it could be from and how to "fix" it.
Thank you all in advance and take care!!

Sorry for your troubles I too have a similar sensation - as well as the heaviest arms and legs - I describe my sensation as the wearing of a swimming cap for far too long on one side of my head to just below my eye! Eye tests and nerve tests all good - so who knows its all a guessing game - good luck and i hope you get to the bottom of it all soon.

My first attack involved a droopy face (also some pain and tingling along the entire left side of my body). It was the droopy face feeling that made me call the 24 hr. nurse on my health plan. It lasted 24 hours and then it was gone. I have not had a feeling of droopy face since. I was ultimately diagnosed with relapsing-remitting MS, oh, five months later after lots of neuro tests, MRIs, CAT scans EKGs, and a lumbar punch.
Best of luck to you!
