It's been 7 days since I had an nerve-sparing open radical prostatectomy. Today I had 22 staples taken out, I had the catheter taken out, but best of all was the post-op report. My gleason score didn't change, 3+3 prior to surgery, 3+3 after surgery. 10% volume of prostate gland was involved with the tumor, negative carcinoma in the lymph nodes, seminal vesicles, and the surgical margins.

I was diagnosed with pc December 19, 2006 with a psa of 12 and a gleason score of 6, T1c cancer.

It's been one hell of a roller coaster ride since the diagnosis. Today I can confidental say I made the right decision.

Today is a great day...............Ron
