View Full Version : So scared

Wonder if anyone can give any advice. About 2months ago, I had a spot on my face, left hand side of chin. It was quite big, very sore, but never had a head, was never able to get any pus out of it, even put a needle in it.
Anyway, it healed up, but about 2 weeks ago I felt a lump about 1cm away from where this spot was, it is small, mobile and painless, unless I press it. It feels like a lymph node. I know there are, lymph nodes under the chin and jaw line, but I didn't think there were any on the side of chin. I am scared it is something sinister.

Please help

Get to an ear, nose, & throat Doctor ASAP. Sounds like you have the same thing I do which is a squamus carcinoma cancer, which needs to be removed ASAP. Tell him you want a neck scan and that will tell you what it is.

I would suggest you go get it checked. It doesn't sound like anything sinister to me. If it was a lump chances are it was an infection, whether it 'popped' or not. It could have been cystic type acne or a boil... and if you were picking at it and sticking a needle in it, it may have gotten a bit infected inside and that is what lymph nodes do.

Get it checked but don't panic.
