i dont really know where to start,about 4 years ago i had lots of blood in my urine,the doc did a test for a uti but it was negative,it then happened again about 3 months later,same again not uti,then for the past 3 years ive been to the docs loads of time and every time they find trace blood and protien in my urine but no uti,i was sent for a scan of my kidneys and lower abdoman,which came back fine,but the docs just didnt seem to bother to find out what was causeing it,the past 12 months i feel so ill all the time i have no energy,i just feel so drained,ive noticed some swelling in my ankles and hands,i have a constant pain in my lower back which they have xrayed and is fine,and i sometimes get a odd taste in my mouth,i went back to the docs 3 weeks ago cus i was starting to feel really low,he then sent me for a cystoscoy but that was fine too,but there was still blood and protien in my urine,ive since been back again cus i just cant take anymore as i have 4 kids to look after and its about killing me,he said i was deppressed and has put me on fluxetime 20mg and zopiclone,BUT he has referred me to a kidney specialist but knowing my doctors that could take months,am i just deppressed and maybe off my head abit lol or should i b worried,i dont know anymore im just confused,can anybody help me please.

Did your regular Dr. do any blood work? Generally you can tell if someone may have kidney problems by checking labs. The 3 labs I am familiar with are creatinine, BUN and a GFR (Glomeruler Filtration Rate).
You sound like you have been feeling very bad. I hope they get you into the kidney Dr. soon.

Your electrolytes should also be checked and a CBC done (which will tell if you are anemic).

I can advice you of good naturalist doctor who can help you with natural organic medication, but i can't post his address in here so i don't know, if you want him, my wife had similar problems and he was good to us and his medication are patented under his father's name.
