I had 2 implants put in, back in June 2006. Both of them are in front of my top molars. I was at my doctor's a week and a half ago, and the left side molar was pushed up against the healing cap, and it was obstructing removal. My doctor had to cut around the edges of the cap so that the cap could come out.
Now, the molar on my other side seems to also be pushing up against implant a bit, and this time I feel a tiny bit of discomfort in that area. My doctor said (when I was there a week and a half ago) that I shouldn't worry because the teeth don't have time to do much before I get the actual crown put on. (This is happening in about 5 days.)
I know I'm probably worrying for nothing, (especially since I'm going back in 5 days) but I'm afraid that the pressure the molar is exerting on the implant will somehow cause it to fail. The molars started moving in the first place because my orthodontist told me to wait until the crowns were put in to make a new retainer.
Are there any other doctors here that could give me their opinion?
