So I think I am on wk eight or so of my tx. I am trying not to keep track. But I have been so moody. One minute I want to cry and the next I am frustrated and then overwhelmed by silly little chores around the house...ect... Anyway I tried taking lexapro only to stop taking it after the second day or so because it made me feel weird. Now I need it obviously so I finally broke down last night and tried it again as suggested by doctor I took it at night instead of in the morning. I took it at eight pm. I did not feel weird this morning. This is good so I took another one this evening. Lets see how I do tomorrow with the hole weird feeling. If I could get rid of this minor depression and some of these mood swings I would feel a million times better right now. I will keep you all posted.

I took my second lexapro last night around eight pm again and I don't feel weird today. So this might work after all. I absolutely need to be on something. I am emotional all the time and my feelings get hurt way too easy. It just has felt like pms. And really it just started more in the last few weeks. Anyway...I hope it goes good for myself. I am usually a very stable person.

So it has been four days of lexapro and I feel way better already. That is a relief and it is not making me feel weird anymore. I am so thankful for this.

Just terrific that you found something that is helping with this. I eventually decided that the emotional 'side effects' were among the very most damaging of this tx. I did not take antidepressants, and this may have been an error. what I experienced was not classic depression, but still, i might have made it easier on myself and especially on my wife, if I had done something for the astonishing crankiness I eventually developed.

So, good for you. Stay with whatever seems to help you.

I am so glad that you are feeling better. I know that you really didn't want to take the antidepressant but if its working I'm glad that you decided to. I'm hoping that when I'm done with the treatment I can get off of these too. We'll see. good luck.

I feel so much better you guys already. I am so glad I am taking lexapro. I have controll over my emotions again already. It is like night and day compared to last week. I don't like feeling out of control like that. Thanks for the support.

That's great! What other side effects have you experienced? Did it get worse when you started taking whole dose shots instead of the initial lower doses? I just had the first 1/4 dose and things have been fairly tolerable.

It was tolerable for me too. I went from 1/4 dose to half to a hole. It is more of a build up of the meds and I could swear it is the pills that make you feel yucky more. It was more of a gradual thing getting to sort of feeling crappy for me. It was not at any certain point and not after I did a hole dose either. As I am sure you read the depression thing started to get to me. I never feel so bad it is intolerable. I just feel like I have a mild case of the flu. It comes and goes too. One day I will have a lot of energy and the next none or even have moments in the day where it changes. For me it is not that bad. I am just glad I got on the lexapro. I was feeling a little crazy for a little while and wow I feel better. My husband did the tx over a year ago and he said that with in one wk of being off the meds he felt normal again. So that is a good thing to look foward to. I have just learned to slack off on things that I can afford to if I feel like it. I have learned to just let go of the fact that my floors are just not going to be as clean as they used to until I am done with that. Good luck to you. Keep letting us know how you are doing.

I am so glad that you are feeling better. I have been so worried about you. I didn't know anything about the lexapro so I felt uncertain giving any advice. But it worked out great, it seems. How long have you been taking them? a week yet? That is so great. I can totally relate about the floors too. Wait until you have a good day, the dirt will still be there??:)

It has been a week now that I have been taking them. I feel soo much better. What a difference in how I feel.....I can't even put it into words. lol...and yes the dirt is right where I leave it. ha ha. Luckily I just got home from the beach and my husband is out of town again and the house actually looks good for a change. No complaints here.

Ahhh, the beach. I am so jealous. Although it has been beautiful here the past few days. I believe that the high yesterday was 78. My kids have got "spring fever".

I have spring fever too. It was 70 yesterday and we played outside all day long. It was fun. My son is just getting to that age where he is actually listening to me when I take him out in the yard. It was a lot of fun....we played with the neighbors and enjoyed the weather. I work at a bar on the river and once we get a few warm days it takes off. I have had a second job through the winter and hate it. I can't wait to put in my notice there. I have the spring itch too. I feel so much better now that I am on these anti depressants. I feel like I have been moping around for the last two months straight. Also my first blood work that they supposedly accidently thawed was actually just misplaced and wound up getting tested. I was undetectable at 3.5 weeks on tx. That is good to know. However I did notice that my liver enzymes went up a few points this last blood work results. She said it was normal but it kind of bothers me.

Keep your fingers crossed for me, I fiind out tomorrow. I'm so glad that you feel better. Its amazing what those pills can do when you really need them!

What happened? Did you get your results charmed? I hope they were good. I am gen 3 and we drop the quickest but that is not to say it will stay that way. Let me know. And yes it is amazing what the anti's can do when you need them. Wow. Now I feel like I should be on a commercial for them.....we can do it together. lol.

It really is amazing isn't it. The good days are REALLY good and the bad days are REALLY bad. I went from 5 million to less than 100. I can't hardly believe it. Together sounds good, maybe even believable? lol

Just found your post and wanted to tell you that it took two and a half months for my Lexapro to start working. I too, took it at night. I had been SO depressed, over emotional and self destructive!!!! Then one day, poof, I felt pretty darn good. I am so happy that it worked its magic on you. I had tryed 5 or 6 different types of medicine before the Lexapro.
The best of luck to you.
