I have basal joint arhtritis in my right thumb. I also had it in my left thumb, had surgery, developed a MRSA infection and almost died. Are there effective non-surgical treatments for this? I have read about using Pennsaid, but it not available in US at this time. Thanks

I have RA in 3 fingers of each hand and in both thumbs. Tried pennsaid and it made the pain worse. I find aspercreme helps for an hour or two. I apply it 2 or 3 times a day.
