Hey, I'm a little paranoid now because i just noticed the other day (while brushing my teeth) that their is a little white bump on the tip of my tounge. It doesnt hurt or nothing its just there lol. I believe its a taste bud that has turned white and I dont know why? I also dont know how long its been there either because i never noticed it until now. I've looked on numerous sites but cant find real answers , they say ulcers , canker sores an infected taste bud or even early signs of cancer!! My tounge does not hurt nor does it look infected theres just a white taste bud on the right tip of my tounge and i want to know what it is. Someone please respond

It looks squishy, its bright white. just like a little white dot on my tounge lol. nothing hurts but its bothering me that i dont know what it is. I'm almost positvie (cause i aint no oral expert) that its a taste bud , but not certain why its like that and if its bad or not. I brush often and use listereine mouthwash and floss . I just hope its nothing serious, any guesses??

I used to get them all the time and sometimes I still get them when I accidentally bite my tongue. My mom always told me they are from an upset stomach, but not sure if that is just an old wifes tale. I just took my mom's word for it and never looked any further for an answer. Hope this helps.
