I decided to continue with the injections afterall, but I was off of them for almost a month. I got the same "good feelings" right after I started taking them again, so even though it's not a documented side effect, my brain seems to like it...!! :)

BUT. These site reactions are really awful! Each site gets lumpy and red and hot and takes a full 6 days to calm down -- just in time for the next shot at that site! Grr. I've called Shared Solutions numerous times and they tell me to heat the site 5 minutes before, apply pressure for a full minute before icing it after. It's the same no matter what I do!!

ANY IDEAS?! I tell you, the sore spots here and there all the time are making it really hard.

I take it out the night before when I can or at least an hour before I plan to do the shot, per the advice of the Shared Solutions nurse...

 Hi Lisa. I am in the same boat as you. I wish I had some answers, but I don't. The injection site reactions are horrible. Sometimes they hurt so bad I am in tears. Of course that never starts til the next day. But it feels like someone lit a match under my skin. I don't even want clothing to touch it. Been on Cop. for 5 years now. Between the reactions and the scar tissue, I am thinking of talking with my doctor and taking a break. Although I am curious as to whether or not scar tissue ever truly heals.

Anyway, I know how you feel. I have tried shared solutions as well, but not much help.

Hang in there!!

Truly, I'm thinking of getting my doctor to put me on Avonex again. I HATED having the flu almost every week, but it would be OVER within a couple of days and sometimes it didn't "hit," so... THIS is a continuous cycle of arms, legs, etc... The only one that doesn't get achy is the one in my abdomen. They all leave the red stain and swelling, though...

I have the same thing, the red stain and swelling too. Plus I have developed the indentations everywhere from the shots. The arms and legs are the worse for me. I have moved down to injecting more of my butt, lots of cushion there!!

I am at a crossroads....doc if really pleased with how Cop. is working for me. Granted I haven't tried any of the others.

I feel silly complaining of the injections when that is my only problem. I got a dx very early so symptoms are at a minimum. I just feel guilty for complaining about the injections when there are others who can't walk.

Question Lisa, please. When you say "flu", are you referring to body aches? Anything else?

Oo, that's a "memory lane" I really have avoided for a couple of years now. No, my "flu" started with violent chills, major fatigue, and THEN the body aches. I don't remember a lot of what else it was except it always lasted a couple of days and started in the middle of the night no matter that I took the pain meds in anticipation and drank lots and lots of liquids.

Like with Copaxone, I did everything they said to do. :(
