Hi all. Does anyone know what is the maximum safe daily amount for calcium and magnesium? I've heard calcium: 1000mg and magnesium: 250mg. does this sound right? I think I may have a mag deficiency.
Thanks:)
Thanks:)

Magnesium at 500mg. can be useful to many people, especially those with irregular heart rhythms.

I'm taking 400 mg a day at the moment. Is that not enough? Also, what is the most Calcium you can take in the same day (I live in west Africa and I could only find Calc/Mag combination tablets. They have 133mg of mag in each tab - I could take 4 tabs but that would be 533mg of magnesium. Would that be safe? . Thanks for your time, I really do appreciate it.

Soodle,
There should be no problem with the 400 mg. you are taking.
Check the bottle though. IF you are taking the mixed CARBONATES or you see the word DOLOMITE then it's not a good product becasue the double salt is just ground up stone and it is insoluble...you absorb almost no CA or MG.
