View Full Version : Are these symptoms typical of uterine cancer?

My mother inlaw, who lives with us, has stage 4 uterine cancer. She completed the first course of radiation and chemo about 3 weeks ago. She is scheduled for follow-ups with her radiation oncologist this week, and her regular oncologist next week.

She has had heavy bleeding (passing clots as well) on and off for a couple of weeks now, accompanied by severe cramps. Is this bleeding typical for this type cancer? Is it perhaps a sign that her treatments didn't help?

This is all so new to me--thanks for any help anyone can give.

Hi There- Did your mom-in-law not have hysterectomy? Maybe I didn't understand. If she had 4 stage cancer she should have had a complete hysterectomy. Don't know how she could be bleeding like that if she had complete hysterectomy...not sure what's there to bleed. Please let us know!'
