View Full Version : New Type of Skipped Beat For Me...Help

Hey Everyone,
It seems as though everytime I have calmed down and relaxed enough to live with my palpitations and skipped beats, my heart decides to come back and do something new to freak me out.

After a couple of weeks of going without any noticible skipped beats, I have had a few in the last couple of days. Generally coming once every six hours or so (give or take.)

Today, though, was unusual. I had been up picking up some stuff around the house. It took me about fifteen minutes, and I was walking around a lot (going from one end of the house to the other.) Afterwards, I plopped down (literally just falling into the chair to relax), and I got that feeling where I knew the skip was coming, however this time it lasted a few seconds, and I even started feeling my heart beat. My heart was in a normal rhythm, but it kind of felt like harder beats than usual (I could be mistaken because I was freaking out a little that the feeling wasn't going away quickly.) I just know I had time to get my pulse in my wrist and begin counting them. They did feel harder when I did that, but again I could be mistaken.

After a few seconds (maybe 3 at most) the feeling went away with a realtivly minor skipped beat. It just completley upset me because I've never had that build up/tickle feeling in my chest last more than a half to a full second before. Maybe I have and I just forgotten how they felt in the past like that, but it certainly was unnerving.

Afterwards my heart rate went up a little bit, possibly from my reaction, but a few seconds later it was back to normal.

Anyone think this should be looked at differently than other episodes, or is this just another variation of the same problem?

Sorry for cluttering the board with more of my hypochondriatic issues
