Hi everyone,
I've posted here before. I have severe CHF and in the last week my BP and HR have gone up with no change in any meds. My BP is usually 83/52 and my pulse is usally 75 (they run low due to all the meds I take.) In the past week my BP has been running 115/63 and mr HR is 84-88. Anyone ever see these kinds of changes and know why?!?! Thanks.

Hi Holly, My BP moves around a bit - usually it's low in the morning but rises gradually during the day - I think that's normal. I suggest measuring it at the same time each day, before eating or exercise, and take time to relax for a moment or two first. (When you rise in the morning is best - before the events of the day can affect it.) I take 8 readings and then average them, then I plot the result on a chart. My BP consistently decreases from the first reading to the last. I take deep slow breaths, and dream or float my mind so I am fully relaxed.
I've now got mine to the point where I have dropped the BP tablets. For some odd reason some days can be high and others low - try as I do I can't pin the changes down to anything. I've tried diet, exercise, herbals and supplements but nothing seems to tie in. I do take a bit of fresh basil, some cinnamon, etc.
I think some of my problems of feeling bad are due to my BP being too low. After many years of high BP (150/100) I now have it at about 115/70 - when it goes lower I get problems in my fingers and feet - and I get the "burning feet" problem. If I had your figures of 83/52 I would need warmers for my feet and they would be sore to walk on. I sometimes get 95/65 - that's about my lowest.
I can't comment much on your situation because your condition requires expert advice. All I would say is your BP can get too low and when that happens to me I get "pins and needles", sore feet, cold fingers, and worst of all dizziness if I suddenly stand up, or go up stairs, for example.
Sorry not to be of more help, but I could not let you go without a reply.
