today i went to the GYM and did cardio for 25 minutes (mixture of jogging and walking fast) on the tredmil and i was sipping this stuff i got at publix called "aquafina essentials". It's flavored water. it's not sparkling or seltzer or anything and it has 40 calories in it from the sugar. Anyways, i got the flavor "berry" something and it's the one with B-vitamins. THey also have one for calcium, vitamin C and another one for multi vitamin, each one is a different flavor. I was thinking how during my workout, i didnt get a headache like i normally do when i drink water (probably because of my electrolites) anyways... my point is- is it good to drink sugared water during a workout? Or- just stick to plain ol' water. I wanna burn fat so- is that not helping? THat's all, thanks.

40 calories is not bad if it doesn't give you a headache. Maybe give an extra 5-10 minutes on your workout if you want to offset those 40 calories. I would say no big deal but you may be watching calories closer than I do.

Drink water if you can. Keep in mind that sugar is a carbohydrate, and is broken down like any other carbohydrate, and since it is advisable to stay away from simple sugars, I would drink water and eliminate the sports drink. Of course every now and then is ok, but on a regular basis...no.
