I was doing curls yesterday and noticed that my chest started burning. do curls normally work you chest or was i doing it wrong? also I was wondering witch was better for you chest. (bench press or chest butterfly)

(bench press or chest butterfly) Sponsor darkwolfofvoid 08-01-2002, 04:41 AM If you're new to working out, you may of just had weak stabalizing muscles and doing some funky curls that forced your chest to help get up there. But if anything, my shoulder usually helps me with my curling on those last few reps. I usually do preacher curls myself, slow method. Anyway, the chest is a big area. The workouts work different areas. I don't know the exact names off the top of my head so i will not use them, but the butterfly works the outside ridge of your chest, around your underarm, armpit area. I think you can also get an inner chest workout from the butterfly as well, slightly. The bench press, depending on your grip can also target that outside part of your chest (wide grip) and depending on what slant the board is placed will vary where you're targeting. The lower the board, the lower on your chest it will hit, and the wider your grip the wider on your chest it will hit. It also works for the opposites, so you can see how it works these ranges. |
