i've tryed so hard to get my abs firm and toned. i do cardio and eat right. its been 4weeks and 2 days.
i'm 5'8 i weight around 125-135 i have a size 28 waist. i did see a lil result, because i acutally could fit into my size 3/4 pants even though a lil fat pokes out.
why is it so hard to get firm abs. Is there something im not doing correctly?

i couldn't tell the last time i tasted a potatoe chip or any kind of junk food.
and
i just feel like giving up
-awhile ago i just looked at my stomach its flat, but i can still feel the fat on my stomach

You are not alone babydoll2_0_0_3...

Abdominals are the HARDEST muscle to get to show through because there's so much you have to do in order to get them. You seem to be on the right track, but sometimes people just can't get those darn things to show through.

There's a few things you could try... If you're a member of a gym or fitness club, they msot often will have some sort of abs class that you can attend. Usually lasting 15-30 minutes, its a continous workout of your abs and you will hurt! This will give you variety in exercise and might spark some change on your stomach.

Now keep up the diet, and don't feel as if you can't eat any fat, in most cases you need that fat as part of your diet! It will help keep everythingbalanced and again adds variety in your diet as well!

What time of the day are you doing your cardio in relation to what time you eat? Have you lowered your carb intake? What meals of the day are you eating most of your carbs and are they complex or simple? Are you eating within 2 hours of sleeping? These are all questions that you need to take a look at...I know it can be frustrating at first but once you are more conscious of ALL aspects of diet and exercise you will see better results.

If you feel you've got your bodyfat down to where your muscle should be showing, well then you need to focus on your ab workout. Are you working the total abdominals? Lower and upper? It's not to hard to get good upper abs, just lots ... lots ... and lots of crunches, slow and fast. But lower abs are the biggest pain and when you get them you will have great control of your stomach and a tighter frame. The fat may still always be there, but the idea is to get the abs worked out. So if your endurance is up and all that, then you should look to your workout routine. I find:

crunches
reverse crunches
oblique crunches
ab twists

These seem to work great, doing these daily to every other day to really tone and bring out muscular endurance in the abs.
