It has been a rough few days, my husband started vomiting non-stop on Sunday night and continued all Monday. When we went in for his chemo treatments, they we halted. He had lost almost 20lbs in one month and unable to eat.

He was admitted into the hospital and he is still there. The nausea has not stopped. The doctors have no ideas what is causing the problem. His oncologist thinks it maybe the radiation but not sure. If he does not get better then he will see a GI specialist.

I don't know what to think at this point.

Hi
Sorry to hear of your husband's setback. It seems he has been struggling since he was diagnosed. I do hope and pray he can get some relief and start eating and put some weight back on so he can be strong enough to fight this disease. My husband has never had radiation so cannot help you with any ideas, but my thoughts are with you. Keep staying strong for your husband and make him smile. I honestly think a positive attitude helps, but yes I know it is hard to be positive sometimes when they are going thru so much. Also, try to get some rest yourself.

It could well be the radiation that is causing his nausea and vomiting. An acquaintance of mine has recently started radiation treatment for a recurrence of his lung cancer and although the first treatment caused no problems the second one caused severe vomiting. I'm really sorry this is happening to your husband too - hopefully they will be able to find some anti-nausea medication that will help him.

So sorry that your husband is having a difficult time at the moment. I don't know about radiation and sickness, but hopefully being in hospital will mean that he gets the fast treatment he needs for the nausea, so he can regain some weight. I wish you both well.

God bless you

Cee
