Hey guys,

I'm a 19 year old male,I'm 5'7" 141 lbs.I don't want to get huge,I just want to get in great physical shape. The main area I'm focused on is my Ab's,and then probably my arms.I'm hoping someone can give me some suggestions on a starting routine. Also, since I don't have an exercise bike can I jog instead?
Thanks.

Then you'll want to tone and work on muscular endurance. Jogging is perfectly fine, that'll help build your cardio. Jog anywhere from 20-40 minutes straight, keeping that heart rate up. For working out, you'll wanna keep the weight moderate and push yourself to do high reps. Do whatever you feel comfortable with, but the idea is to get a good burn on the muscles.

ab workouts i find to work the whole area:

crunches
reverse crunch and/or hanging knee raise
ab twists
oblique crunches

These generally work the whole area. How you do them is up to you. You can do them fast or you can do them slow and stimulating.

Arms:

Forearm curls (up and down grip, work both sides)
Thor's hammer
Preacher curls (i'm not too big on biceps myself)
Bar dips (and inverted grip)
Tricep pushdown (make sure you use proper form on this)

Triceps will get your arms big, but biceps are usually what people notice. But people really take notice of your arm when you get your Tricep Long head defined which comes greatly from doing the inverted gripped bar dips.

Also, another thing that works is a slow method. I use this especially on my bicep curls. You contract the muscle doing it at least half speed. But when you release and return to the initial position, do it VERY slowly. You don't want to use your usual workout weight, something a lil lighter and it only takes a few reps like these to really feel the burn. Especially when you get back to the initial point and have to contract again.
