Hello,
Just thought I would ask here see if anyone knows what it might be.
I have the usual headaches that everyone has but this is not a headache. It is a pain that started yesterday afternoon as i was sitting down .
I just had what i can describe as a big pain in my head behind my left ear and it came and went on and off every 30 minutes to an hour.
When the pain comes it seems to knock me off balance and i go a bit wonky.
Anyway it is now just after 7 am UK time and i had hoped they would of gone off put it down to usual pains but never had a pain that made me feel like this.
It has just come again as i am writing this and i can only describe it as a intense pain that lasts for a few seconds then dies off again yet i do feel a little sickly as well but nothing like an headache i know the difference between a headache and these sharp pains that keep coming just in that one place.
I took to cocodomol at 6am but it is still there.
The only other strange thing sis i have a weird pain in my right ankle that also seems intense but no wear near as often as the one in my head. The one in my ankle seems to come them die down very slowly then after it stops the area feels like as if i had been kicked.
Anyway i know they are strange symptoms but do you suggest i just take some more pain tablets later or any other ideas.
Thanks in advance
Rob

This sounds quite serious. I think you need to go to Emergency. what is your history...eg, any blood pressure problems? or migraines, etc? Its the wonky-ness that sounds weird. I think you need to get it looked at.

Hello,
Sorry not replied sooner.
I am still having the exact same pain in my head as described in my original message.
I do have blood pressure it was quite high at one stage but i try to keep away from the doctors if i can or cure things myself.
Do you think i should give it another day or so to see if the pain stops.

I agree you need to go see a doctor as soon as you can. No, do not wait. You never know. It may be nothing, but if it's serious you'll be glad you went.

Robert UK You do need to get it checked out, similar thing happened to me Oct 05, turned out to be an inner ear problem I'm still suffering with today, I didn't get the ankle pain though??? When you go to the docs ask about inner ear and could it be, GP's very often miss this.
