please help someone
someone i know was really sick and went to the dr.
the dr said her bloodpressure was very high and as a result of that some heart damage occurred.
they determined the initial cause of the hbp was leukemia.
but have said she cant have surgery because of the leukemia
What effect will leukemia have on her heart since she cant have the surgery?
what about chemo?
will it effect her prognosis

Hi,

Usually hbp damages blood vessels. It's not clear how bp caused heart damage, and what is the damage? What tests were given and what are the result.

If there is a heart problem post leukemia medication and/or chest irradiation, those treatments can cause a problem.

hi thanks for reply
im actually not sure why i even put that about the cause of the damage..
:p
it could either be the leukemia or the bp am not sure i need to edit that,
ive just been getting bits of information

as for her situation
she was diagnosed last april, she became ill. was a bit dizzy. and was having lil trouble walking
that is when she found out about the leukemia, heart and bp so it all kinda happen pretty quick

as for her treatment
she was having a bit of slow response at first.
but last i heard, she was responding to her medications.

but yes, i was worried about the chemo on her heart
as for any other tests or info im not sure
