well i will just do a very basic overview to make sure this actually posts as this is my first post.i am currently taking suboxne 2 times per day for past month after a 6 year addiction to hydrocodone which generally consisted of 20 per day maybe more maybe less .......10-500 mg well one of my questions is has anyone else been down this suboxne rd?.........these are great with the withdraws but they give me such headaches and make my mind so fuzzy i cant even hardly work which i must to support my stay at home wife and 2 year old son...........any suggestions on why i am getting these headaches or what i can do ........i am not going to get into all the other things i am sure we all know about the tiredness,sleepless nights, feeling no energy to do anything more than to just sustain life .i will tell you guys all about it later please welcome me to the boards and any help would be greatly appreciated......this is my first time and i have been free of the hydro for 4weeks now and i dont want to go back down that rd. but i dont think this suboxene rd s\is the rd i want either the side effects are awful.i will check back in a few to see if anyone is out there .

I have no experience at all with Suboxone or Subutex.

I am sure someone will respond with some knowledge or experience soon. I know how anxiously you await an answer... I have often beeen anxious to have a response also. Smiles.

Hi donewithhydros. We have traveled the same road my friend. I took hydros for 4 years with the dose increasing, to around 10 -15 per day. I started the suboxone Dec 18 and have been on it since. How many mil grams a day of the sub are you taking? I am at 16. I do not have any of the side effects that you are having, thats why I ask how many mils you are taking. The thing with sub is once you find the dose that makes you comfortable taking any more does nothing for you. I actually feel I have regained much of the normalcy that I had prehydro, my concern now is getting off the sub. down the road. But as for finding someone to share with you got me, we are in the same boat. TJ

There are 2 types of suboxone, one is suboxone and the other is subutex. I have heard that some can handle one, but not the other do to side effects. Check out there web site to learn the differneces and see what they say about side effects....If I were you, I would call your DR and inform him your not feeling well and let him help you. You might need a dose change or may need to be switched to the subutex or vise versa. Please call him as there is no point in suffering, after 4 weeks your body should have adjusted by now so that's not a good sign for you. There are many over the counter remedies for headaches that work very well, for me its Advil and Ibuprofin, have you tried either? even tyloenol is good.. I hope your feeling better soon and welcome to the boards. I am proud of you for staying clean for one month, that is wonderful and you must feel so much better about yourself..:wave:
