alright well i had phimosis but now i'm cured and i can stretch my foreskin back. since this is my first couple of days of having stretchable foreskin, i need advice on how to get rid of all the smegma and how to keep my penis clean. i heard from a website that when you take a shower you should just pull back your foreskin and shower with it pulled back that way the warm water will wash it off. i also heard smegma is a good thing?!?!?! any tips or answers you guys can give that would help. thanks

You got it correct. Just be sure to rinse all the soap off before pulling the foreskin back to normal position

First, congratulations.
If the smegma won't simply wash off with water, and has hardened, attached to the skin, you can remove it with baby oil. After that, maintenance is a breeze.

i did have some hard smegma and i sort of rubbed it off, it was really sensitive but i had to bear with the feeling. lol but all in all thanks, i'm glad that now i have a GREAT chance of not getting some kind of disease. but nobody said anyhting about my comment. i read somewhere that smegma are a good thing?? anyone know about this? also after i get all of the smegma off, if i shower daily does that mean i shouldnt expect alot of smegma since i'm cleaning it everyday?

smegma's job is to keep parts which are in constant contact, from healing together. on a male, this includes the penis head and the foreskin. on a female, this includes keeping the inner lips from healing to the outer lips, and the clitoral foreskin from healing to the clitoris. in that respect, it is a very good thing.
if you wash your penis once a day, you will in all likelyhood never see smegma again. it will continue to be secreted, and continue to keep your foreskin from sticking to the head, but will not be enough to offend anyone.
