hey guys and girls i just wanted to seek some advise on how long does it take to feel completly normal again?or will i ever feel whole again?i am currently on week 5 of suboxne and i feel pretty bad ...i think its the sub.that i am taking i am supposed to be taking 16mg per day now.....and the first 2 weeks i was taking 24mg or 3 times a day .........i have cut my self down to 4mg or half of 1 pill per day for the last 3 days.......i guess you could say i have been tapering................but heres the reason the suboxne gives me horrible headaches and makes me feel dizzy and really cloudes my head up almost to the point that i think i am going to pass out is this normal??this has got to stop .....someone suggested that subtex may be better what do you think i have a dr. appt tommorrow with my sub.dr ......should i ask for something different................this is at the point that i am almost ready to give up my 5 weeks of being clean from all pain meds..............

there is one other thing that i did that may make a difference ,but i dont know.i have always had sleeping problems so for the last 6 months i have been taking a quater of a xanax at bedtime .......but i also quit taking them 6days ago am i in with draws from them .somebody please give me some good advise ......i am not feeling any w/d like the normal hydro w/d ....as soon as i take the sub my mind goes really cloudy within 10 minutes .

my dr.appt early in the morning i will check this all day and night for some help or advise .also will the pharmacy have the subtex?i know it was sort of hard to find a pharmacy that carried the sub?

i am new here how come when i type a new thread it seems to get lost or not post on the screen where all the others are am i doing something wrong ?i type it up then i go to post then it seems to get lost the only place i see it is in the screen of all the topics i.e add/recovery or whatever .any help would eb great .

I did not use sub. when I stoped taking hydros so I can't give you a answer about that..............but you have been off of the hydros long enough where maybe you don't need anything.......maybe you should try that....or speak to your Doctor about that
Be carefull with the xanax they are harder to kick then anything else

Are you getting your sub off the streets or from a DR? I know I posted to you before mentioining that you should be asking your Dr these questions. Lowering your dose are your own may not be the best bet for you. How come you can't call your DR and ask for help and let him no your having side effects?

Let me know so I don't keep repeating myself. your doing good staying offf the drugs though, so that is a good thing for you.

I don't know anything about the other things - but Xanax can make you feel awful. It is highly addictive, and the WD's occur very quickly (just hours later in many cases)....

So you might be feeling sick from the Xanax WD's I just tapered off Xanax & have been clean for 3 months, yet still am feeling the effects.
Dizziness & headaches were very, very strong WD's for me.

Not sure how large of a dose you have of the Xanax - you said 1/4 of a pill, but it's powerful stuff... so you may need to reinstate & taper slowly... such as cutting a bit off the 1/4 tab every few days.

Benzo (Xanax, Valium, Ativan, etc....) withdrawals often get worse after a few days or a week - that has been my experience, as well as many other people in my support group. So try to take it slowly.

i am getting my sub from a dr. but i tried to call him 5 times in the 1st week and all his secretary would do is take a message .......i never got a call back not even once tommorrow will be my first time talking to them in 5 weeks .....switching dr. is not an option either as they are the only ones around here .......i know they should have called me but they didnt ......any help would be great.

that is terrible your Dr is so unresponsive. I would not tolerate that at all. Now how unprofessional of him. I would be livid. ask him if he uses e mail, maybe you can e mail him and he will respond better this time. Tell him how hard its been on you since you can't get through to him to ask simple questions. he must think he is just to busy to take calls. god complex all the way.

good luck at your apt tomorrow. make a list so you don't forget to ask him anything since you can only see him once a month and he doesn't make calls.

hi all i too been taking xanax 1 mg 3 times a day for 1 yr and im going to a new dr to try to ween off them is the with draws bad? i took them because my dr told me to do it that way i had no idea at the time they were habit forming but my old gp wouldnt check my thyriods and that was what was causeing my panic attacks ,depression and agraphobia my psychiatrist found out about my thyriods im currently taking the name brand of levothyroxine 50mcg this is week 8 and i now feel great but im scared about the coming off of the xanax i hear its terrible trying to come off is this true and about how long does it take ? i hope you get off your xanax soon and start feeling better i am right now weening off celexa my psychiatrist termanted me because i wanted off my meds so he wouldnt even tell me how to ween off so i had to call the drugstore about the celexa now the xanax im going to a new dr hes a internal medicine dr and i hope he can get me off or will i need them if i have thyriod disorder some say i wont some say it depends i only want to take them only when i need one but not 3 times a day like i been taking.
