I've posted this b/4 on other boards but didn't get a response so thought I would post again. Have any of you ever fainted from pain in the colon? Mine usually starts around the navel area & if the pain last more than a min I get sick & will faint. Once the pain or BM is over I recover, altho weak, in a few min. This also happens from an enema. I've heard it happens with any pressure to the colon of some people altho I've yet to find anyone else that experiences this. I have been unable to find a dr in my area that knows what I'm talking about. I would like to know if there is a treatment. Thanks.

I too have had fainting spells when trying to defecate. It could be your vagal nerve was stimulated causing your heart rate and blood pressure to drop which decreases blood flow and O2 to the brain. Have you discussed this with your doctor? Wish you well.
