Hi all. I switched from Lo ovral to Ortho tri cyclen about 4 months ago. Can birth control pills cause breast tenderness? I have been on many types of bc for many years now and have never had this problem. I had a cycle about a week and a half ago so I don't think I'm pregnant. I have only had this type of breast tenderness when I was pregnant though. Anyone else experience this?

I had it all the time over the 15 or so years that I was on the pill. I didn't realize that it wasn't the norm, but I never thought twice about it. I figured that most women had these problems because of hormonal problems, anyway.

I can remember the pain used to get so bad the weekend before my period that I wouldn't be able to wear a regular bra during that time, only a sports bra or something. It was always very annoying to me.
