:eek: This weekend will be my first birthday with an ED. I want to celebrate with a nice dinner, etc, but am afraid of the guilt I'll undoubtedly feel afterward. I'm trying so hard to kick the purge habit. Any ideas to help me through the weekend?

Enjoy your birthday and don't feel guilty about it. I really wish you could devote yourself wholely to recovery from the ED; I get the sense from reading your posts that you are scared to let it go. You shouldn't mark it as a milestone--first birthday with an ED; you should try to look at it the other way--LAST birthday with an ED.

Enjoy your birthday meal and don't let the ED win out; you are much stronger than the ED. Happy birthday! I hope this is your first & last birthday with the ED.
