I am 18 years old and have been really irregular for a few years now. Recently though it has been much worse...and I find myself to be moody and bloated when I should be having my period but don't. My friend was having similar problems and went on birth control. I guess my real question is if it is worth going on birth control to fix this? I would appreciate any help, thanks!:)

I use BCP for that reason and It's a life saver. I went on when i was 16, I'm almost 18 now. I had periods that I couldn't expect and would last up to 2 weeks SUPER heavy the entire time. I personally think it was the best thing I have EVER done. You just have to understand the risks and weigh them. For me, I was willing to take the risk of the side effects and even a blood clot. I have yet to have any problems. You just need to make sure you understand what you are doing. I love it, and definatly reccomend it. Good Luck!
