Hey guys. I know that there are a lot of us on tx now on here. Just wanted to start a post where we could all share with each other. I love you guys. You all have helped me so much. I just did shot 9 last night. Feeling good. I have the usuall body aches but not too bad. I started an anti depressant two wks ago and I have to say I feel soooooooo much better and myself this last wk. It is amazing. I have actually been social for the last wk like my old self. All the while I just thought I did not feel good and was emotional but I think now that a lot of it was depression. I was sleeping a lot during the day on the couch and now I am back to getting up and getting going. Hope everyone is doing well. Keep on keepin on guys.

Hi Jessica,
I see that your txs thus far are going well. I'm glad that you solved your problem with your emotional situation. Since you are on shot #9, I am assuming that you are beginning your 3rd month of tx. I'm still waiting on my medicine but hope to start tx this month. I just hope I have a good experience like you are. I'm glad that you're ok. I'm sure you'll hear from some of the others in the group too.

I wish you luck. Let us know how it goes. My only advice is to get on a anti depressant if you even slightly think you need it.

I'm just 2 1/2 week into treatment. I really have to say that it hasn't been as bad as I had expected. The first few days weren't much fun and I definitely do not feel normal, but not to bad. My first two shots were both just 1/4 doses though. Next shot is a half dose, then full doses after that. I've been able to work and be productive and that has helped to give me something else to think about.

I take shot #7 today and found out only yesterday that the virus is undetectable. I have 5 more shots to do after today. Then we start praying that it STAYS undetectable. Overall this has been bearable. Good luck to everyone. I'll second the anti depressants too, Jessy. Without that extra little push and the pain meds I don't think I could have done as well. I will continue to post and I will continue to read as you guys do. thanks, Lisa

I hear ya. I way second all of that. And yippy....only five more shots. I might go for that option too. The only problem is that the doc says if I relapse I will have to do double next time. But it is also the same if i do six months. I am really thinking about it. He said I am the perfect candidate.

I talked to my doc about that yesterday. I told him that I didn't know of anyone else that was doing this. He said that this is only for people that are undetectable after 4 weeks. And only gen 2 & 3. The research shows no difference between treating for 3 months and 6 months except in the deterioration of the patient's other health issues. He says that he will keep up with my lab work but that he fully expects me to be free and clear. I am truly blessed and grateful. You could call another specialists and just get their input. Maybe a second opinion would set your mind at ease. I'm absolutely going for just the 3 months.

I am gen 3. I am really considering it. First off...I am taking pain meds which I don't care to be taking but at this point need them. So three months of taking them vs. six would be a huge difference and no problem. So has your doc been doing this with his patients for a while now? I find it so interesting. I really think I might cut it short. It is worth a try anyway. I might go to wk 14 just because I did quarter doses the first two shots. I don't know why I think that way but I am a goof ball. My doc said I would be a perfect candidate. I just hate making decisions like this. But why would I go six months if I have a really good chance of being and staying clear of hep with just three months? Ya know. There is a chance of relapse either way. Good luck...I wish I had a doctor that would just make that decision for me.
