I have been experiencing pain in my lower abdomen. After a a number of DR visits and tests (X-Ray, CT Scan, MRI), to rule out other causes, I began a period of conservative therapies (e.g. rest, cortisone shot, NAISDs, physical therapy) but the pain persisted.
I was eventually directed to Dr Meyers in Philly diagnosed that I have Athletic Pubalgia (i.e. tearing of the abdominus muscle from the pelvic bone). He has recommended pelvic floor surgery to reattach the abdominus muscle.
Unfortunately, insurance will not pay.
Has anyone had this surgery performed by Dr Meyer? Did the surgery solve the problem?
Thanks,
