Now at present my one sister age 32, she is married and have three children is suffering from breast cancer, she has gone thorugh MRM ( modified Redical mastectomy) , Chemo threapy and radio therapy from Agha kHan hospital Karachi. she had also a mass in liver that was doubtfully a secondary mat but could not be verified by the doctors, but that mass is not present in the liver now. now the doctor has recommended the herceptin for furthre treatment.it is a very costly drug. around $35000 in pakistan. I belong to lower middle class so i went to an other doctor for 2nd opinion , he said u need not to use herceptin and u ve taken the best medical treatment.

Has anyone in your family ever checked their PH balance?

The pH scale goes from 0 to 14, with 7 being neutral. Below 7 is acid and above 7 is alkaline. The blood, lymph and cerebral spinal fluid in the human body are designed to be slightly alkaline at a pH of 7.4.
At a pH slightly above 7.4 cancer cells become dormant and at pH 8.5 cancer cells will die while healthy cells will live. This has given rise to a variety of treatments based on increasing the alkalinity of the tissues such as vegetarian diet, the drinking of fresh fruit and vegetable juices, and dietary supplementation with alkaline minerals such as calcium, potassium, magnesium, cesium and rubidium.
To low of a PH and you are at risk for all sorts of illness.

A saw a woman on the Discovery channel who had a history of cancer in her family. All the women died before the age of 40 it was breat cancer though. At the age of 21 she made the choice to have her breats removed and have implants.

Do a search on Alkaline and cancer or PH and cancer and you will get lots of info. Eating right is the first step.

Yep. My local health food store carries the pack of strips of I think it's 36 for around $15. I have not tried the Whole Food Store yet but am suppose to go tomorrow and I will see if they have it threre. Walgreens might carry them too. I just have never checked there yet.

My neighbor bought a machine to make her own alkaline water. She gave me a bottle a little while ago to try and it was really good. Nothing compared to the bottle water that you can buy. The filter turns left instead of right to purifty the water. I thoght she was nuts till she made a bottle of it for me.

She learned about it when she went to VA hospital in Chicago. I haven't looked up the water yet on the internet but that's my next thing to do. It was good. She said it would give me a but of engery too and it did. SO weird. I have to research it more.

Ok this sucks but explains alot of my problems. I took my Ph level for the first time a few minutes ago and I am BELOW the normal is is around 7.34 and 7.40. I am only 5.5. So I went to the website that was on back of hte box which had more info and some of the problems that I am having are indigestion, weight gain, difficulty losing weight, frequent urination, (doc said I don't have an infection) and pre cancer cells in my cervix
To low ph can cause those symptoms and I have them.

EDIT: I didn't get the urine test I got the saliva test. You are suppose to do it upon rising in the morning and then 2 hours after you eat. I did it 2 hours after I ate. I will do it in the morning for the first time. I have a feeling that it might be lower.

Going to research more on this.

I have made some research on water and I found out that lemon water is the easiest fixed up:

"Adding alkaline ingredients to the water

Another method is to add ingredients to the water to increase its alkalinity. I would only make these alkaline water additions to water that had already been put through an alkaline water filter, however they can be handy in an emergency when there is only mineral or tap water to hand.

Lemon Water: I have already blogged lemon water to death, however, I will mention it here as it really is an alkalising superstar. By squeezing lemon juice (or lime juice) into water you immediately give it a healthful kick. Lemon water is very alkaline and is great in helping to detoxify the liver and kidneys.
pH Drops: these are an excellent way to dramatically increase the alkalinity of the water. These drops offer intense alkalinity and only a few are needed for an incredible boost to the alkalinity of your drink. There are several types around but I would only really recommend Alkalive’s pH Booster or Innerlight’s Prime pH"

I took the Ph test the proper way by using first morning urine and I was at the lowest end of the scale which is 4.5

I bought some Ph pills that I take 3 times a day. the ingredents in the pills are as follows:
Potassium Bicarbonate, Magnesium Citrate 155mg
Amylse 2500 DU
Hydrilla, Marshmallow, Papya 140 mg
Cellulase 600 CU
Protease 1000 HUT
Lipase 190 FCCFIP
Phytase/pectinase 200 Endro-PGU

I have no idea cause I never looked up the meaning of the letters behind the numbers.

I know the pressure in my bladder that always feels like a bladder infection is completely gone in about an hour after taking a pill. It does come back but then it's time for another pill. I slept through the whole night for 2 nights straight instead of about 3-4 hours a night. The weight is dropping off too. The only bad thing is that I sweat in my sleep so every day I have to wash sheets and I pee alot.

My Ph has not got up alot. Since I started the pills and watching my foods it lingers between 5.0 and 5.5
I don't know how long it will take to get up to 8.0
That is where I want to be. I am hoping that it will help my pap smear come back normal. Seeing how the wrong Ph can lead to cancer.

My neighbor bought the machine to filter her water into alkaline water but I can not afford what she paid. I looked some up on line and they run from about $699 to $2000
She wants to charge me $2 per gallon. I have to by the spring water and give it to her and then she will filter it for me and put it back into the same container.

I think I will see how the pills and the changing of the foods will do first I don't know how clean her kitchen is. We're the kind of neighbors that just talk at the end of the driveway. We've never been into each others house.

Hey Jenteal, I got curios and made some research. It seems that the pills that you are taking should help a lot to alkalinize your body. I also fiund this practical guide that I intend to practice too:

"One cup of sterilized milk or buttermilk, drunk hot or cold, plus 1 magnesium oxide tablet, 300 mg. (adding cinnamon is fine). If these two remedies work for you, your morning urinary pH will come up to 6.0 but if for some reason they don't, you need to take more drastic measures. Take the supplements and milk earlier in the day and reserve bedtime for:
1/2 tsp. baking soda in water. This is sodium bicarbonate. But don't use baking soda from a store because most brands I have tested are polluted with benzene! Using a combination of sodium and potassium bicarbonate in a ratio of 2:1 is actually a much more healthful potion. You can make your own or ask a pharmacist to make it for you. Mix two parts baking soda and one part potassium bicarbonate in a jar. Keep tightly closed. Label it sodium Potassium bicarbonate alkalizer (this potion is also very useful in allergic reactions of all kinds). Take 1 level tsp. in water at bedtime. If your pH reaches 6 in the morning continue each night at this dose. If it does not, take 1 1/2 tsp. Keep watching your pH, since it will gradually normalize and you will require less and less. If you are using plain baking soda, instead of the mixture, watch your pH each morning, also, so you can cut back when the pH goes higher than 6."

Do you believe in the power of prayer? If so, this sounds like a generational spiritual curse on your family. Find a church who believes in breaking down spiritual strongholds through prayer. You need to get that curse broken down now so it will not continue to the next generation of your family. My prayers are with you and your family and may God's wisdom lead you and guide you to all of the right people and doctors. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you! : )

I just wanted to update you on the Ph discussion. I gfinished reading this book "The acid-alkaline diet for optimum health restore your health by creating pH balance in your diet" by Vasey, Christopher and among the advises that he gives is the way to measure your PH balance.

He distuingishes between the ph of urine blood and skin. The easiest way to measure your ph, is through measuring your urine throuought the day and making and average out of it. You should not rely in your first urine of the day, because that accumulates all the acid of the body during the night. Instead you should measure it at least three different times: second morning urine; before lunch and before dinner (or more often but be aware of the impact of the food) to have a more accurate idea of the urine ph.

I was relevied to learn that since my morning urine is all the time super acidic, whereas my average of the day falls to 7.2 so I'm happy I'll watch what I eat preferring more alkaline food than acidic and hopefully take it up to 7.4-7.5 Anything higher is too alkaline, so if I can maintain this level would be great.

Hope this info helps.
