Anybody been through airport security lately? Did you have your asthma meds x-rayed, or did you opt to have them checked separately? Anybody have any problems? I'm flying soon, and don't know what to expect, with the new security measures. Thanks in advance. :)

I just had them with all my drugs in a baggie (Flovent, albuterol, HRT, zyrtec). Oh, and my nail polish.
They just glanced at it and put it the tray and thru the xray machine...I've flown 4 times since the change last fall and did it that way all 4 times.

It depends on the screener. I actually had an insensitive twit try to take my meds away becuase the dispenser was one of the ones that oierces the pill before you inhale it - forgot which one - and becuase this was a "Sharp object" it was dangerous to others. I informed him that if he did not let me carry it on board or speak to someone who would it would be a danger to HIS health. I also explained what the meds were and he let me go. If you are concerned bring a note from your DR or Pharmacist.

I did the same thing, I put my liquids in one baggie (like you're supposed to) but then I put all of my meds in a separate baggie (nasal spray, albuterol, etc.) When I went through security, I just told them that one bag was liquids and one was prescriptions, they had no problems with it. Also, they recommend bringing your prescription along with you. I just brought mine in a folder cause I like to have them with me in case of emergency anyway.

we'll be flying soon and the travel agent told me specifically that my inhaler had to be in the original box with my name on it. SHe had a client sho had hers seized. took her 8 hours to get a new one. I figured since I don't have the box anymore I'll get a new one right before we leave, keep it in the box, and put it in the ziploc as you have to do along with the rest of my meds.

I've not taken my original box with me and nothing's happened to mine.
