Hi everyone.

I was diagnosed with pcos just before christmas. I had no period for a year and after a pelvic ultrasound, then was diagnosed. I am finding it quite hard to cope with. My husband is desperate for children andi feel like I can't give him what he wants. Also a good friend has just become pregnant, and although i'm thrilled for her, i'm worried everyone in our social circle will start pitying me, and i really don't want that.

Hi Alexis,
I know how you feel everyone around me is having babies and i just keep thinking it's not fair. One thing i'm a strongly believe is it will happen when it's meant to i've been trying for 4 years, but the way i deal with my family and friends is to be strong and say i'm not that bothered,my partner is really supportive and understands it's not my fault. And just read other posts it may take us longer to have our babies but we'll appriciate and love all the more once they arrive.
Good Luck and chin up :)

Hi Alexis.........one thing to keep in mind is that PCOS doesn't make it impossible for us to have children..........just makes it a little harder to achieve that goal.

Your best bet to improve your chances is to do some research if you haven't already so that you are 100% aware of what PCOS is doing to your body and make sure that the treatment method that you are using is right for you! Take control of PCOS, rather than let it control you. If you are not already seeing a specialist, such as a Reproductive Endocrinologist, you should do so. They are the best when it comes to conquering PCOS and infertility cause they specialize in both!!!

Best wishes to you and your husband. Just stay positive and focused!!!
