Hi, My name is Leah and I am 24. I have been ttc since June 2006 and have not yet been successful. I noticed on my ttc forums that alot of women said they had pcos, so I decided to look this up last week to see exactly what this was. I found that out of the 16 symptoms I found, I had 13. I go to the doctor May 15 and I am hoping that they just don't brush me off. I do have a few questions about the irregualr periods. I hadn't had a period for like 3 or 4 months. Well on Jan 26 I finally got my period ,but as of today March 11, I am still on my period. Last time this happened I went to the er and they couldn't find anything, they just gave me some pills to take for a couple of days and told me to go to the obgyn. And when I went to the obgyn my doc put me back on BC and told me to come back when I decided to get pregnant. That really upset me because they didn't even try to see why this was happening to me. I really think I might have pcos though, I have the irregular periods, acanthosis nigricans(on neck, hands, around mouth and thighs), skin tags(on neck), morbid obese, weight in middle, hair growing on chin and above lip,depression, mood swings, and I also got my period at age 10. Oh yeah, does pcos cause you to have headaches, like after eating? I really appreciate any feedback I can get. Thanks
